Looking for information on Delta’s flight attendant application process, including requirements, steps, and hiring timeline.

To apply to become a Delta Airlines flight attendant, start by visiting the Delta careers website and searching for “flight attendant” openings. You’ll need to create a profile, upload your resume, and complete the online application with your work history and qualifications. If your application is selected, Delta may contact you for phone screening, interviews, and assessment events. Requirements typically include being at least 21 years old, having a high school diploma (or equivalent), and meeting Delta’s customer service and safety standards. The process can take several weeks from application to hire.

Applying to Delta was honestly one of the most nerve-wracking but rewarding things I’ve ever done. I remember sitting in my tiny apartment, refreshing the Delta Careers page every day because their hiring windows can be surprisingly short.
  1. The Application: Start by creating a profile on their official site. Make sure your resume highlights "safety" and "hospitality" above everything else. I tailored mine to show how I handled high-pressure situations in my previous retail job.
  2. The Assessment: Shortly after applying, I got a link for a personality/situational assessment. Be honest, but keep the "Delta Way" (service from the heart) in mind.
  3. The Video Interview: This was the "on-demand" part. I dressed in a full suit (even the pants!) to feel the part. Smile more than you think you need to!
  4. The Event Day: If they like your video, you’ll get invited to an in-person "Event Day" in Atlanta. It’s basically a day-long interview.
