Upgrading to business class on British Airways was something I stumbled into almost by accident, and it turned out to be one of the best travel decisions I’ve ever made. A while back, I was flying from London to Dubai for work, and I originally booked an economy seat because I was trying to keep costs low. A few days before the flight, I got an email from British Airways offering an upgrade to Club World, which is their business class. The price was lower than I expected, so I decided to give it a try.
I went into my “Manage My Booking” page, followed the upgrade link, and within a few clicks, it was done. What surprised me most was how easy the process was—no long calls or complicated steps. On the day of the flight, I got to use the business class check-in desk and relax in the lounge before boarding, which already made the trip feel special.
The experience onboard was fantastic. The seat turned into a full bed, the food was genuinely delicious, and the crew treated everyone with such personal care. Since then, I always check for upgrade offers before a flight. Sometimes you can even use Avios points instead of cash, which makes it feel like a well-earned reward.
