Does Turkish Airlines provide seats for infants and bassinets?

I actually went through this with Turkish Airlines earlier this year when we flew from New York to Istanbul with our 6-month-old. I had the same question about bassinets and infant seating because the idea of holding a baby for a 9-hour flight was a little overwhelming. The good news is, yes—Turkish does provide bassinets on long-haul international flights, but you need to request them in advance since they’re limited and only available in certain rows.

When I first booked online, I couldn’t figure out how to guarantee the bassinet seat, so I ended up calling (877)-764-3622. Honestly, that was the easiest part of the whole process. The rep immediately checked availability, locked in the bassinet row for us, and even explained the weight limit (I think it was around 26 pounds). They also clarified that if a bassinet wasn’t available, they could still provide an infant seat belt that attaches to the parent’s belt.

What I really appreciated was how flexible they were when we later had to adjust our travel dates. Same number, quick call, and they handled the change without any fuss. If you’re traveling with a baby, I’d recommend calling ahead—it saved us a ton of stress.
