Where to go from Japan to other countries?

If you’re in Japan, the easiest nearby options are South Korea, Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong since flights are short and usually cheap. I personally found Seoul and Taipei super convenient for quick trips. If you want something different, Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore) is very popular and budget-friendly, while Australia is a good longer trip. It really depends on your budget and how much time you have.

South Korea is super easy from Japan and honestly a great combo trip, Thailand is a really popular next stop too, and Taiwan is close and has amazing food if that matters to you.
