She told me to check out a place called Midwood Smokehouse for authentic Carolina barbecue — and wow, she wasn’t kidding. The food was incredible. I ordered the pulled pork with mac and cheese and hush puppies, and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had while traveling.


What made it even better was how friendly everyone was. The staff knew I was short on time and made sure I got my food quickly so I could make it back to the airport without stress. I made it back in time for my rebooked flight, full and happy instead of tired and cranky.
