I’m visiting NYC in October—will it be chilly, rainy, or mild, and is it a good time for outdoor sightseeing?

In NYC, the weather in October is cool and fresh—with daytime temperatures averaging about 18-20 °C (64-68 °F) and nighttime temperatures averaging 10-13 °C (50-55 °F). It is usually quite enjoyable, although some rainfall may occur, and the fall foliage will begin to be evident.

Honestly, October in NYC is one of the best times to go it’s usually cool and crisp, a bit chilly at night but mostly pleasant for walking around, with some light rain here and there but nothing that ruins plans.
