I've had great experiences with Salomon and Hoka shoes for trail running, they offer amazing grip and ankle support on uneven terrain. I recently tried the Salomon Speedcross and was really impressed with how they handled technical trails, the lugs are pretty aggressive so they're perfect for muddy or rocky trails. If you're looking for something a bit more cushioned, Hoka's might be the way to go, they're known for their max cushioning which is great for long runs on trails. It really depends on your personal preference and the type of trails you'll be running on, but both brands are definitely worth checking out.
