Does jetblue overbook flights

I’ve flown JetBlue quite a bit, and yes, like most airlines, they do sometimes overbook flights. It happened to me last year on a trip out of JFK. I got to the gate and heard them asking for volunteers to take a later flight in exchange for credit. Luckily, I wasn’t in a rush, so I gave up my seat, got rebooked a few hours later, and ended up with a nice travel credit for a future trip. Another time, I needed to adjust my booking after a schedule change, and instead of juggling it online, I just called 844-734-0813. The agent quickly helped me cancel and rebook without the usual stress. So yes, overbooking happens occasionally, but JetBlue generally handles it fairly — and if you ever need to instantly book, cancel, or modify your flight, that number is the fastest way to get things sorted.
