Do you need a passport for Puerto Rico if you are a US citizen?

As a US citizen, you don’t need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico. It's a domestic destination.

However, starting May 7, 2025, you’ll need a REAL ID–compliant driver's license or another acceptable ID for flights. If you don’t have one, a passport will work.
