I’ve wondered the same thing—why Royal Caribbean seems pricier than other cruise lines. After sailing with them a few times, I realized you’re really paying for the ships and the experiences onboard. The entertainment, the food options, and the overall vibe feel more “resort-like” compared to my cheaper cruises. I actually figured this out during a week when I was juggling an unexpected flight cancellation. And while sorting that out I was comparing cruise prices again. Even though Royal Caribbean was a bit higher, the value ended up showing once I was onboard. Between the better shows and the upgraded amenities, the extra cost made sense. It’s one of those things where you don’t fully see the difference until you’re actually sailing.
