I love taking photos—what are the best scenic or iconic spots in Chicago to capture amazing skyline shots and street photography?

The Skydeck at Willis Tower, the 360 Chicago Observation Deck, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, the Riverwalk, and North Avenue Beach are some of Chicago's top photo locations. These locations offer clear, expansive views that are ideal for daytime and nighttime photography.

Chicago is home to classic platforms: the Willis Tower Skydeck, the 360 CHICAGO (John Hancock observatory), sunset at Adler Planetarium (with the skyline in the background), or the Millennium Park (in front of the Cloud Gate or the Bean) and its reflection Sightseeing, Scenes of Chicago. All of them provide different lighting and angles to great photos.

Chicago is a city with some incredible photo locations, which is determined by the kind of vibe one wants. Both Skydeck at the Willis Tower and 360 Chicago (Hancock Building) are ideal in taking skyline shots at the top level. Should you desire an outdoor setting, the Riverwalk, the Navy Pier and Millennium park combine terrific views of the city and the lake. North Avenue Beach is a very iconic location where the skyline can be shot by the sunset lovers.

Chicago’s best shots come from Millennium Park, the Riverwalk, Navy Pier, North Avenue Beach, and Skydeck/360 CHI for skyline views, plus neighborhoods like Wicker Park, the Loop, and Chinatown for vibrant street photography.

The best of views are skyline-over-lake at North Avenue Beach and architectural at Wolf point and vantage of the river-bank. Additional good places: the reflective water-lagoon out in Grant Park or the skyline view at nightfall out of Cindy rooftop bar.

Photographers can capture Chicago’s best views at Skydeck Willis Tower, 360 Chicago Observation Deck, Navy Pier, Millennium Park’s Bean, Adler Planetarium shoreline, Lincoln Park’s Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, and along the Chicago Riverwalk, offering skyline, lakefront, and architectural perspectives beautiful.

Photographers can capture Chicago’s best skyline views from Navy Pier, Millennium Park, North Avenue Beach, and Adler Planetarium. Skydeck Chicago and 360 Chicago Observation Deck provide stunning aerial cityscapes. The Chicago Riverwalk offers dramatic architectural shots, while Lincoln Park and Montrose Harbor deliver sunrise and sunset frames. Each location provides unique lighting and perspective opportunities.
