I actually went through Delta’s infant and minor policy recently when flying with my sister and her 6-month-old. At first, we were confused about whether we needed to buy a separate seat for the baby or just add her as a lap infant. Turns out, Delta lets you carry infants under 2 years old on your lap for free on domestic flights, but you have to pay a small fee for international ones. We also had to add her to the booking by calling Delta customer service, which was honestly the easiest way to confirm everything and get her name on the ticket. For minors, Delta has an unaccompanied minor service for kids aged 5–14 — you can book it online or over the phone. I’d recommend calling right away if you need to make any booking changes or cancellations; they fix it faster than the app does.
