What are the top places to visit around Lake Atitlan?

Panajachel is the easiest starting point because of the docks, but don't stay there the whole time. You definitely need to take a lancha to San Juan La Laguna to see the weaving cooperatives and the street murals it's incredibly artistic. If you want a great view without a 4-hour trek, hike up to the Indian Nose (Rostro Maya) for sunrise. It’s probably the most iconic experience at the lake.
