I'm flying to Mexico soon and want to make sure I have everything ready. What are the documents needed to travel to Mexico by air — passport, visa, any forms or requirements I should know about?

To travel to Mexico by air, you typically need a valid passport, tourist visa or FMM form (if required), return ticket, hotel booking, and proof of sufficient funds.

If you're traveling to Mexico by air, you'll generally need a valid passport and, depending on your nationality, possibly a Mexican visa. Travelers from many countries, including the U.S., Canada, and most of Europe, can visit Mexico for tourism without a visa for a limited stay. It's also a good idea to have proof of your return flight and accommodation details, as immigration officers may ask for them. Always check the latest requirements before your trip since entry rules can change.

You definitely need a valid passport to fly in. Some airports still ask for a filled out FMM tourist card but a lot of them are moving completely digital now

To travel to Mexico by air, you generally need a valid passport, a return or onward ticket, and any visa required based on your nationality. Many travelers also need to complete an immigration form and should check the latest entry requirements before departure.
