What are the best places to travel in Italy this year?

To make it a great vacation in Italy this year, go to the classic cities first, namely Rome (history/Vatican), Florence (Renaissance art), and Venice (canals), and then to the varied regions that include the superb Amalfi Coast, culinary Bologna, chic Milan, Tuscany's lovely hills, the serene beauty of Lake Como, the spectacular Dolomites, and the lively islands like Sicily, among others.

Rome, Florence, Venice, Amalfi Coast, and Sicily remain top picks thanks to their mix of culture, beaches, and food. Travelers are also loving Puglia for its whitewashed towns and budget-friendliness, Lake Como for luxury stays, Cinque Terre for cliffside views, and Dolomites for nature trips

I'm just back from Rome. I was concerned the weather would be cold or rainy, but it was actually perfect. They say November is low season but crowds were still HUGE, especially in the Vatican. Anyway, loved it, 10/10, want to get back in spring to enjoy some sun and see more parrots.

Oh, I misread the question and thought you were talking about this season, not this year. Sorry haha
But I do believe Italy is more than Rome, and I am looking forward to seeing more of this wonderful destination!
