To cancel a Southwest Airlines flight, go to southwest.com or open the Southwest app and tap “Manage Reservations.” Enter your confirmation number and last name, find your flight, and choose “Cancel” to remove it. Southwest doesn’t charge cancellation fees, and if you cancel, the value of your ticket usually becomes a travel fund you can use toward future flights. If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you can typically get a full refund. After that, most fares become credits that must be used within a year of the original purchase. If you need help, Southwest customer service can assist.
