Yes — with Alaska Airlines you are allowed one carry-on bag plus one personal item at no extra charge. The carry-on bag must fit in the overhead bin (the airline gives dimensions of roughly 22″ × 14″ × 9″). There is no published weight limit, but you must be able to lift the bag yourself into the overhead compartment.

I can definitely share from my own experience — yes, Alaska Airlines does include a carry-on with most of their fares. I learned this the hard way during a last-minute business trip to Seattle. I was juggling meetings, trying to rebook my flight after a schedule change, and the last thing I needed was baggage confusion. I had booked a regular Main fare, and thankfully my small roller bag and backpack were both allowed without any extra fees.

What really saved me during that hectic trip was when I had to adjust the return flight. Instead of fighting through the website, I called 844-734-0813, and honestly it was the fastest way to get the change processed. The agent confirmed my fare still included the carry-on, even after modifying the booking.

So yes — Alaska does include a carry-on, and if you ever need to sort out booking questions or make last-minute changes, that number is a lifesaver.
